Hospice of the Central Peninsula Volunteer

Fall Training

October 5-6 & 12-13, 2018

Volunteer training for Hospice of the Central Peninsula. Must attend all four training dates (Oct 5-6 & Oct 12-13, 2018) and be 18 years or older. Volunteer training is a great way to find out if you would like to be involved as a Direct Care Volunteer. The 22-hour course gives an overview of the work Hospice of the Central Peninsula does as well as techniques to best serve our direct care clients.

Hospice of the Central Peninsula is a Volunteer Hospice providing respite services for the caregiver(s) and companionship for the End-of-Life Client. We meet our clients and their families where they are and provide compassionate support. Volunteers are asked to give 4 hours of their time a week to their client, typically in two hour shifts. Scheduling is based on the need of the client. Volunteers are matched with a client after staff intakes, and stay with the same client throughout the process.

If you have questions, or would like to sign up for training, you can contact the volunteer coordinator at 907.262.0453. You can also click the “book now” button on this page to sign up online.
